Ulysses, KS — Mid-States Millwright & Builders, a Mid-States company, announced today the expansion of its presence in Southwest Kansas with the opening of a new regional office in Ulysses, Kansas. The new location strengthens the company’s ability to serve customers across the High Plains Region with faster response times, localized support, and direct access to its full range of industrial services.
As a family-owned, vertically integrated group of companies, this investment reflects Mid-States’ long-term commitment to the regions where its customers operate. The Ulysses expansion enhances service capabilities while maintaining the company’s focus on safety, quality, and lasting partnerships.
From the Ulysses office, an on-site team will provide repairs and maintenance, millwright services, and support for capital expansion projects, including greenfield site construction. While locally staffed, the operation is fully supported by the broader Mid-States Companies organization, giving customers access to additional resources such as material handling and structural steel fabrication, engineering services, insurance and concrete structural inspections, and crane rental with certified operators.
The new operation will be led by Rob Yarborough, a 38-year industry veteran with extensive experience across the High Plains region. Yarborough brings deep industry knowledge and a strong understanding of the operational challenges faced by customers in this area.
“The High Plains Region feeds the world. As those agricultural endeavors continue to grow and evolve, they need additional resources and support,” said Yarborough. “Mid-States Companies want to be a partner and the supplier of choice to those endeavors. We want to earn your business and your trust.”
Through this expansion, Mid-States Millwright & Builders will be better positioned to serve grain facilities, ethanol plants, feedlots, flour mills, dairy operations, oilfield services, and fertilizer facilities across Kansas, Oklahoma, the Texas Panhandle, Eastern Colorado, and Southwest Nebraska.
The opening of the Ulysses office reinforces Mid-States’ commitment to responsive local support, backed by the strength of a larger, integrated organization. The company looks forward to the positive impact this expansion will have on the High Plains Region and its customers.
